Brentford will require ‘huge offer’ to pull big signing of 20-years-old Top January target

Brentford might get another opportunity to sign PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko this summer, as the Dutch side has decided not to extend his current contract. Eindhovens Dagblad reports that the agreement was reached in February, and all parties involved are content with it, eliminating the need for further negotiations.

The plan is to sell Bakayoko after the current season, preferably after PSV secures the Eredivisie title. However, a substantial offer will be required to secure his signature. Despite Brentford’s €40m bid being rejected in the summer, the situation may have shifted with the lack of contract renewal and the intention to sell after the season, indicating a potential willingness from both sides to part ways.

Whether Brentford is willing to make a significant financial commitment remains uncertain, given their existing right-winger options in Bryan Mbeumo, Kevin Schade, and Michael Olakigbe. The opportunity is there for Brentford to reconsider their efforts from the previous summer transfer window.
