Nottingham Forest handed January transfer boost as major target ‘easy’ clause revealed

The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news is the disclosure of a clause for Stuttgart target Serhou Guirassy.
Nottingham Forest has received a boost ahead of the January transfer deadline.

The Reds have long been interested in Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who has scored 15 goals in nine Bundesliga games this season. Forest was rumored to be interested in the summer and may be interested again in January.

Fulham, a Premier League foe, is said to be interested in signing him. However, the two clubs’ pursuit of the forward has been aided by the disclosure of a release provision in his contract.

According to the German daily BILD, Guirassy’s contract has a €17.5 million (about £15.3 million) release clause, which Forest could exercise this winter. A potential move is defined as “easy” if either Forest or Fulham want it to happen.

They further claim that Stuttgart has spent months seeking for a replacement for him, implying that they are already prepared to lose him. It’s unclear whether Forest will make a move.

Taiwo Awoniyi, the current Reds striker, has been injured. The only other true strikers in the first team are Chris Wood and Divock Origi.
