Post-game, Coach Griffin downplayed the sideline disagreement, dismissing it as a heat-of-the-moment conversation. According to him, the disagreement centered around Antetokounmpo wanting to stay in the game while the coach intended to give him a breather. Griffin revealed that he instructed Giannis to remain at the table for one possession, but the player promptly returned to the court.

Despite Griffin’s attempt to downplay the incident, Giannis had a succinct response when questioned about it in his post-game interview. When reporters asked him to explain the disagreement, Antetokounmpo simply replied with a blunt “No.”
Giannis’s terse response suggested his discontent, possibly exacerbated by the team’s loss to a formidable Eastern Conference rival. While Griffin chose to play down the issue, Giannis opted not to provide more details, leaving media and fans expecting a more elaborate explanation from the Bucks’ standout player.
