Hull City is set to face Swansea City with high spirits, as affirmed by midfielder Tyler Morton, who is currently in excellent form. The Liverpool midfielder, on loan to Hull City, showcased an impressive debut for England’s Under-21s, contributing a goal and assist in their 3-0 victory over Northern Ireland during the Euro 2025 qualifying clash at Goodison Park. Having lived up to the expectations generated during the transfer window, Morton is anticipated to pair with Jean Michael Seri at the Swansea.com Stadium as Hull City, led by manager Liam Rosenior, returns to Championship action after the final international break of the year.
Coming off a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Huddersfield Town in their previous match, which propelled them within two places of the top six and level on points with the final play-off position, Hull City is entering the upcoming game with confidence. Morton, expressing the team’s optimism, stated,
“Definitely (we can secure that play-off place). We’re a very confident team at the moment. That win, we desperately needed it (against Huddersfield). Every game’s a tough game, we know the quality we’ve got in the team.”
Morton’s personal performance has shown steady improvement in recent weeks, earning him a place in Lee Carsley’s Under-21 setup this month. The 21-year-old midfielder acknowledged the positive influence of the team environment fostered by Rosenior, saying,
“The quality of the players I play with helps me so much. Hopefully, I can continue playing well for my club. I’m happy to come here and do what I can do.”
