Breaking news: Ohio State Buckeyes kay star declares for 2023 NFL Draft as he set to path ways

The Ohio State Buckeyes will face a defensive setback in the upcoming season as graduate linebacker Steele Chambers has declared his decision not to return for a sixth season with the Buckeyes. Instead, he has opted to enter the 2024 NFL Draft, as announced on Tuesday through a statement on social media. Chambers expressed gratitude for being part of the Ohio State Brotherhood and community, which he now considers his home and family, and highlighted the privilege and honor it has been.

Hailing from Roswell, Georgia, Chambers amassed an impressive record during his time at Ohio State, contributing 200 tackles, four interceptions, and three sacks. Often seen alongside senior linebacker Tommy Eichenberg on game days, the duo formed one of the top combinations at their position in the country. Chambers acknowledged the support from the Ohio State staff and teammates in his statement, giving special recognition to defensive coaches Jim Knowles and James Laurinaitis, who, he noted, never doubted his capabilities.

He referred to them as the warriors with whom he battled daily, emphasizing that the Brotherhood was instrumental in his journey, stating, “Without this Brotherhood, I would not be here today. You are the reason I continue.”
