AUBURN, Alabama—Meleek Thomas, a 5-star combo guard ranked as the No. 5 player in the 2025 class, visited Auburn over the weekend. Prior to the visit, he had already received positive feedback about Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers from his AAU teammates, Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard.
Observing the Tigers’ victory over LSU in a packed Neville Arena and spending time with the coaches and players during the visit, Thomas expressed his satisfaction, emphasizing the overall greatness of the experience.
Thomas pointed out that the initial attraction to Auburn was the atmosphere. He mentioned that his AAU teammates, who are both committed to Auburn, played a role in piquing his interest.
Having shared the court with them throughout the year and discovering common interests, Thomas decided to explore Auburn based on their recommendation. He acknowledged that his teammates enjoyed their visits, appreciating the coaching philosophy, the messages conveyed to them, and how they would integrate into the system. Intrigued by their positive experiences, Thomas decided to visit and ended up having a thoroughly enjoyable time.
