Snoop Conner, a former running back for Ole Miss, has inked a deal to extend his professional football journey with the Dallas Cowboys. Originally chosen in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Conner’s performance in the league has been modest so far.
In his rookie season in 2022, he carried the ball 12 times, gaining 42 yards and scoring one touchdown. However, he faced challenges in 2023, failing to secure a spot on the Jaguars’ 53-man roster and spending the entire season on their practice squad.
Despite these setbacks, Conner, who hails from Hattiesburg, now has the chance to showcase his skills to the coaching staff of the Dallas Cowboys.
In his college days at Ole Miss, he demonstrated his prowess, featuring in all 13 games during the 2021 season and finishing with impressive stats. He accumulated 647 rushing yards on 130 attempts, ranking third in the SEC and 24th nationally with 13 rushing touchdowns. His 13 rushing TDs placed him fifth all-time among Rebels in a single season. Additionally, he showcased versatility by catching 14 passes for 82 yards in the 2021 campaign.
Choosing to forego his senior season, Conner entered the NFL Draft and has now secured a reserve/future contract with the Cowboys.
