Breaking news: Vikings’ Wide Receiver Calls Out NFL During Playoff Game

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is known for being outspoken, and he didn’t hold back when expressing his thoughts on the NFL social media team’s decision to share a fan’s poster during the Detroit Lions’ Divisional Round matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on January 21. The poster humorously played on Lions head coach Dan Campbell’s infamous comments about biting kneecaps as a symbol of his team’s toughness during his 2021 introductory press conference.

Jefferson, a three-time Pro Bowler, took issue with the league’s official handle sharing the poster and voiced his disapproval on X, formerly Twitter, during the second game of the day between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. He stated, “Yall wild for posting this. This ain’t cool!!”

In addition to expressing his displeasure with the poster, Jefferson highlighted the injuries suffered by tight ends from both the Vikings and Los Angeles Rams due to hits by Lions safety Kerby Joseph. Although officials penalized Joseph for a different hit against the Rams in the Wild Card round, the league did not fine him for either injury-causing hit. Despite allegations that Joseph is a dirty player, his teammates and coaches defended him.

The Detroit Lions emerged victorious in their matchup against the Buccaneers and are set to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game on January 28.
