The LSU Tigers consistently compete for a prominent position in the SEC, and a significant factor contributing to their success is Brian Kelly’s recruiting prowess. The university, known for its appeal, particularly attracts talented cornerbacks. Baton Rouge has produced numerous top-tier cornerbacks, and the tradition continues with the recent commitment of Jaboree Antoine, a four-star cornerback from the 2025 recruiting class, to the LSU program.

According to On3, Jaboree Antoine is ranked among the top 20 recruits in the 2025 cycle. He opted for the Tigers over offers from Texas A&M and Texas. Antoine is now part of a promising recruiting class featuring five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and five-star running back Harlem Berry. In explaining his decision, Antoine expressed his reasons for choosing the Tigers.
Currently, On3 ranks LSU with the top recruiting class for 2025, and this early success is understandable. Securing Bryce Underwood, a highly coveted quarterback, is a significant factor, as elite quarterbacks can address various roster challenges. As of now, the top five recruiting classes also include Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, and Clemson. Although it’s still early, the momentum in recruiting tends to have a snowball effect, with one commitment attracting others who wish to be part of the program.
While the recent moves by LSU seem more focused on the 2025 and future seasons, there’s anticipation about whether the Tigers can make an impact in 2024. Brian Kelly’s ongoing efforts suggest that the team will have considerable talent this season, even if the primary focus has been on building for the years ahead.
