There’s uncertainty surrounding Jay Harbaugh’s expected move to the Los Angeles Chargers coaching staff under his father, Jim Harbaugh. Contrary to widespread belief, a report by Matt Zenitz from 247 Sports suggests that the hiring is not finalized. The Seattle Seahawks, led by new head coach Mike Macdonald, are also expressing interest in bringing Jay Harbaugh on board. This interest stems from their previous collaboration in 2021 as part of the Wolverines’ coaching staff.
Although reports have Jay Harbaugh to the #Chargers as being a done deal, that’s not the case at this point.

For the past nine years, Jay Harbaugh has been an integral part of his father’s coaching staff at Michigan, taking on the role of special teams coordinator since 2017. It was anticipated that the 34-year-old would continue in a similar capacity with the Los Angeles Chargers when his father transitioned from Michigan to the NFL.
However, the Seattle Seahawks seem to be making ambitious moves in assembling Mike Macdonald’s new coaching staff. While on the surface, hiring Harbaugh may not seem groundbreaking, persuading him to part ways with his father and join the Seahawks would undoubtedly send a strong message of their serious intent in building a competitive team.
