Nikola Jokic, the towering presence for the Denver Nuggets, once again showcased his finesse reminiscent of a nimble guard despite his imposing stature. In a recent match against the Portland Trail Blazers at Ball Arena in Denver, Jokic displayed his deceptive skills midway through the second quarter.
With a clever pump fake from beyond the arc, the Serbian center outmaneuvered Deandre Ayton, the center for the Blazers, sending him into a state of confusion. Ayton, a product of Arizona, was left momentarily bewildered, turning his gaze towards the basket as if expecting a shot, only to be caught off guard as Jokic swiftly drove past him for a basket and drew a foul in the process. This remarkable move by Jokic not only earned him the points but also narrowed the Nuggets’ deficit to 52-47, showcasing his ability to outsmart opponents regardless of their size or experience.
