Towards the conclusion of the season, the team displayed encouraging advancements, yet they acknowledge the necessity for further improvement if they aspire to pose a genuine challenge to the leading teams in the sport.

Are Alpine a team on the move?

Ocon and Gasly will be free agents at the end of the current year, presenting the new team principal with the task of retaining their talent for the 2025 season, particularly with Mercedes seeking drivers.

Ocon, with connections to Toto Wolff and a history as a contracted young driver for the team, could be a strong contender for Mercedes to replace Lewis Hamilton, who is set to depart for Ferrari after the upcoming season.

Additionally, Alpine has recently garnered support from several high-profile investors for their Enstone-based team, aiming to assert themselves among the top five teams in the coming seasons.

Alpine confirmed via a post on social media platform X that Famin has now assumed the role of the team’s permanent team principal.
