The Bills have appointed DJ Mangas as an offensive quality control coach, the team revealed on Monday.
Mangas initially joined the Bills’ staff in the latter stages of the 2023 season as an offensive assistant and has now been officially designated as part of Buffalo’s coaching roster for 2024. Before his tenure with the Bills, Mangas served as the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach for the University at Buffalo football program.
Additionally, Mangas shares a history with offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Both collaborated on LSU’s coaching staff in 2019 during their victorious national championship campaign. During that season, Brady held the role of LSU’s passing game coordinator, while Mangas served as an offensive analyst. Furthermore, the two were teammates at William & Mary from 2008 to 2011.
Mangas’ appointment with the Bills marks his second venture into the NFL. He previously worked with the Carolina Panthers in 2020 as an assistant.
