Dawgs set on four-star running back key man, as he prepares for spring visits.

CARROLLTON, Ga. — Akylin Dear, a four-star talent hailing from Quitman, Mississippi, outshone Elba, Alabama’s Alvin Henderson, a Top 200 prospect, to claim the running back MVP title at the recent Under Armour Camp in Atlanta. Much like Henderson, Dear finds himself in high demand among programs across the Southeast. Scheduled for visits, Dear intends to explore Florida from March 7th to 9th, and he’ll be setting foot on Georgia’s campus the night prior to the commencement of their practice on March 12th. Furthermore, he plans visits to Florida State, Auburn, and Alabama during spring practice sessions.

In the early stages of his recruitment, two coaches have made a significant impression on Dear.

“Ole Miss is definitely one, and Bama as well,” Dear mentioned. “I have a close relationship with Coach Kevin Smith and Coach Robert Gillespie at the moment. They’re straightforward with me. Coach Smith is the one who keeps my phone buzzing the most.”
