Williams becomes the ninth commitment of Auburn football’s class of 2025, which currently ranks seventh overall in the nation. He is the first defensive back to join this group. Despite being the 14th-rated cornerback according to 247Sports, Williams had numerous offers from top-tier programs, including Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, and Mississippi State, among others.
Hailing from Buford, Georgia, Williams attends Buford High School, where he stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 165 pounds. He is ranked as the 113th overall prospect for the class of 2025 and the 18th-best prospect in the state of Georgia.
Williams was recruited by defensive backs coach Wesley McGriff and co-defensive coordinator Charles Kelly. He is the sixth defensive player to commit to Auburn’s class of 2025.
In the 2023 season, Williams showcased his versatility by playing on both offense and defense for the Buford Wolves, who finished with an 11-1 record. He even shared the field with 5-star Nebraska commit Dylan Raoila at wide receiver. Additionally, Williams has track experience, competing in the 100 and 200-meter dashes.
Hugh Freeze’s recruitment of Williams adds another valuable piece to what could potentially become another top-10 recruiting class for Auburn football.
