Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims sustained an injury during the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday.
He is considered one of the top prospects for offensive tackle in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft due to his exceptional combination of size and athleticism.
His participation in on-field drills on Sunday was eagerly anticipated by teams, media, and fans. However, Mims had to halt his second 40-yard dash midway due to what seemed to be a right hamstring injury.
Georgia OT Amarius Mims just told me he’s dealing with a right hamstring injury. He doesn’t know how severe it is. He wants to continue testing and competing at the combine. But he’s got ice on the hamstring now.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t severe enough to affect his availability for the Bulldogs’ pro day later in the process. We wish him a speedy recovery, ensuring he returns to full strength well before his first NFL training camp.
