The Minnesota Vikings have expressed dissatisfaction with their running game over the past couple of seasons and are eager for significant improvement in the upcoming 2024 season.
To address this issue, they have brought in Aaron Jones to take charge of the position. With his skill set and capabilities, acquired from his time with the Packers, Jones is seen as the solution to their running game woes, provided he remains injury-free.

Jones missed six games last season for the Green Bay Packers due to injury. However, upon his return, he showcased his dynamic abilities in the postseason. In just two playoff games, he accumulated 226 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns, contributing significantly to the Packers’ victories over the Dallas Cowboys and a narrow loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite his postseason prowess, Jones faced backlash from some Packers fans on social media after his departure to the Minnesota Vikings, the team’s historic rival. Responding to the negativity, Jones expressed his disappointment with the “cheap shots” taken by certain fans. One fan’s comment about the Packers signing a running back with “a hairline” particularly stood out, prompting Jones to acknowledge the gratitude for his time with the Packers while addressing the negativity by labeling them as “haters.”
During his seven-year tenure with the Packers, Jones delivered impressive performances, surpassing the 1,000-yard rushing mark three times. Notably, he led the league in touchdowns with 16 during the 2019 season. His most notable season came in 2022, where he rushed for 1,122 yards, averaging an impressive 5.3 yards per carry.
