Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who has been a key player for the Kansas City Chiefs in their recent Super Bowl victories, is reportedly making a move to the Tennessee Titans, as per reports from ESPN and NFL.com on Friday night. The Titans are said to be acquiring Sneed in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick, with a swap of seventh-round selections in 2024 also part of the deal. This transaction comes after Kansas City tagged Sneed with the nonexclusive franchise tag earlier this month, allowing him to explore trade opportunities.

Reports indicate that Sneed will be offered a new contract by Tennessee, which ESPN notes will likely be one of the most lucrative deals for a cornerback. At 27 years old, Sneed becomes the second cornerback to join the Titans this offseason, following Chidobe Awuzie, formerly of the Cincinnati Bengals, who signed a three-year deal earlier in the month. Originally drafted by the Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2020 draft from Louisiana Tech, Sneed has been a consistent presence on the field for Kansas City, appearing in 57 regular-season games with 54 starts.

Notably, he has also started in all 13 postseason games during his time with the Chiefs, including three Super Bowls. In the 2023 season, Sneed tallied 78 tackles, two interceptions, 14 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery across 16 games, all of which he started. Additionally, he contributed 17 tackles and three passes defensed in the playoffs, including a notable performance in the Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers. Throughout his career, Sneed has accumulated impressive stats, including 303 tackles, 10 interceptions, 6.5 sacks, 40 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
