The Colts have once again secured the services of defensive tackle Taven Bryan, announcing the re-signing on Tuesday.
During the 2023 season, Bryan featured prominently for the Colts, starting in seven games out of 17 and participating in all. Across these games, he recorded 22 tackles, two sacks, four tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, and forced one fumble. While primarily operating as a rotational player behind Grover Stewart and DeForest Buckner, the 28-year-old contributed significantly to the team’s defensive efforts.
Bryan originally joined the Colts as a free agent prior to the previous season. His NFL journey began in 2018 when he was drafted in the first round (No. 29 overall) by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since then, he has amassed experience across 96 games, with 40 starts, spanning stints with the Jaguars (2018-2021), Cleveland Browns (2022), and Colts (2023).
Across his six-year career, Bryan has accumulated impressive statistics, including 134 tackles, 10 1/2 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 32 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles.
