Doak Campbell Stadium is currently undergoing extensive upgrades and renovations that will significantly alter the appearance of Bobby Bowden Field once the construction concludes in 2025. However, this transformation doesn’t mean that fans need to disregard the rich history established in Tallahassee by one of college football’s premier programs.
Florida State supporters have a special opportunity to acquire a piece of Seminole tradition through a collaboration between The Battle’s End and CollectibleXchange. Yet, this opportunity comes with a substantial price tag.
Various items such as bleacher seats, signs, and bricks (accompanied by display cases) are available for purchase at different prices. The most expensive item is a ‘Bleacher Seat Piece With Legs’ priced at $599.99, while the most economical option is an ‘Emergency Public Telephone Sign’ for $149.99. Additionally, the ‘Doak Campbell Stadium Authentic Brick With Display Case’ is listed at $249.99, and the ‘Authentic Piece Of Bleacher Seat’ is priced at $199.99.
Each purchase will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and a portion of the proceeds will directly support The Battle’s End, a rapidly growing NIL Collective.
CEO Ingram Smith of Battle’s End expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of FSU football’s rich history while also making an investment in its bright future.” Proceeds from the sales will contribute to supporting The Battle’s End, with positive responses from the fanbase noted.
The west side of Doak Campbell Stadium has already been completely demolished as part of the initial construction phases. Consequently, the 2024 season will be impacted, with only approximately 7,000 temporary seats available on that side of the stadium. It is anticipated that attendance will be limited to fewer than 60,000 throughout the upcoming year. Furthermore, the east sideline seats are undergoing expansion to 18 inches width, and handrails are being installed in those sections. These seats will feature a breathable mesh seat on top of the bleacher seating.
Florida State remains on track to finalize the renovations before the start of the 2025 season. The Seminoles are scheduled to kick off the campaign against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
