Slater expressed his disappointment with “The Dynasty,” stating, “I think it portrayed Coach Belichick in a way that was very unfair.” He further explained his frustration, mentioning, “I spent two days interviewing, and I said more positive things about Bill than I could imagine. Of course, they didn’t use any of that.”
This perspective from Slater adds to his earlier criticisms of Belichick. Notably, the former wide receiver had previously accused Belichick of being a ‘hypocrite’ regarding his political views and support of former President Donald Trump.
Nevertheless, despite his grievances, Slater acknowledged Belichick’s significant impact on the Patriots’ success during their dynasty era. He believed that this aspect should have been highlighted more prominently in the documentary.
