The Falcons are bolstering their defensive line by signing free agent James Smith-Williams to a one-year contract for the upcoming season, as confirmed by his agent Mike McCartney. Smith-Williams, who previously played for the Commanders, participated in 13 games last season, starting in seven.
Originally drafted in the seventh round in 2020, he has exclusively played for Washington throughout his career, amassing 55 game appearances and 27 starts, along with seven sacks over four seasons.
