The San Francisco 49ers have inked a one-year contract with cornerback Rock Ya-Sin.
Standing at 5-11 and weighing 195 pounds, Ya-Sin was initially drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round (34th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Over his NFL journey spanning five years with the Colts (2019-21), Las Vegas Raiders (2022), and Baltimore Ravens (2023), he has participated in 66 games, starting 40, and amassed 193 tackles, deflected 29 passes, secured two interceptions, forced two fumbles, and recovered two fumbles. In the 2023 season, he saw action in 14 games, starting once, tallying 12 tackles, and defending two passes while with Baltimore. He also made an appearance in a postseason game.
Originally from Decatur, GA, the 27-year-old Ya-Sin attended Presbyterian College from 2015 to 2017 before transferring to Temple University in 2018. At Temple, he played in 12 games, accumulating 47 tackles, deflecting 14 passes, and securing two interceptions.
