BREAKING NEWS: Kansas City Chiefs signings undrafted free agent star players with huge contract agreement

The Kansas City Chiefs have finalized their list of undrafted free agent signings after a week of rumors and reports about various signings and tryout invitations. With a total of 17 signings, it’s another strong group of rookie free agents hoping to make an impact and earn a spot on a team aiming for a historic third consecutive championship.

The Chiefs started signing priority free agents over a week ago and assembled a significant number of first-year players for their recent rookie minicamp held over the weekend. Now, after the camp, the team has officially announced 17 signings.

The Chiefs have put together another robust class of rookie free agents following the 2024 NFL Draft.

Each undrafted free agent (UDFA) faces tough odds, but the Chiefs have a track record of giving such players a genuine opportunity to earn a roster spot. Turk Wharton serves as a prime example; he’s a defensive lineman from Missouri S&T, a small school, who grabbed his chance in his first season and has remained on the active roster since. Similarly, running backs like Spencer Ware, Darrel Williams, and Deneric Prince have made their mark.

Among this year’s UDFA class, keep an eye on the running backs as they are strong contenders to make the team, given the Chiefs’ needs. Linebacker Curtis Jacobs is also a standout prospect, along with defensive lineman Fabian Lovett Sr. and tackle Ethan Driskell. Punter Ryan Rehkow has been signed to compete with Matt Araiza for the spot vacated by Tommy Townsend, another UDFA who recently secured a good contract in free agency.

Here’s a rundown of all 17 players signed by the Chiefs as undrafted free agents:
