BREAKING NEWS: New York Giants Add 3,900-Yard Championship Winning QB key stars

The New York Giants opted not to pick a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, instead choosing wide receiver Malik Nabers. However, Daniel Jones’ future in New York remains uncertain. Neither general manager Joe Schoen nor head coach Brian Daboll were with the Giants when Jones was drafted in 2019, and Jones has only led the team to one playoff appearance. The 2024 season could be critical for Jones, as depending on its outcome, the Giants may look to draft his replacement in 2025.

Potential New York Giants NFL Draft QB Target Revealed

If the New York Giants miss the playoffs, especially if Jones struggles, Schoen and Daboll might prioritize selecting their preferred quarterback in next year’s draft. That’s exactly what’s suggested in Pro Football Focus’ “way-too-early” 2025 NFL Mock Draft, where the Giants are projected to pick Georgia QB Carson Beck at No. 5 overall.

According to Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman of PFF, “The first quarterback comes off the board,” They note Beck’s impressive 91.5 grade in 2023, ranking fourth among college football quarterbacks. Beck is known for his precise timing and accuracy, making him a potential quarterback of the future for New York, especially with Jones’ future in doubt.

Carson Beck, New York Giants

Beck has won two College Football Playoff National Championships with the Bulldogs and is now in his second season as Georgia’s starter. Last season, he threw for 3,941 yards, with 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions, demonstrating his ability to perform at a high level.

If Jones fails to make the most of the talent around him at receiver this season, Beck could emerge as the Giants’ next long-term quarterback.
