BREAKING NEWS: QB key man lands offer from Louisville with shocking agreement

The coaching staff of the University of Louisville football team has extended an offer to one of the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2026 recruiting cycle.

Troy Huhn, the quarterback from Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, Calif., confirmed to Cardinal Authority that he had a discussion with U of L offensive coordinator Brian Brohm regarding his skills and potential future with the team, which led to the offer.

According to Huhn, “Coach Brohm is a great person. We discussed his coaching experience and the players he has coached. I understand that Louisville runs a Pro Style offense, similar to many NFL teams. He expressed appreciation for my style of play and mentioned that I could be a good fit for their system.”

Huhn, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, is ranked as the No. 145 overall player in the Class of 2026 and the No. 11 quarterback overall according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He holds the No. 168 spot nationally and is the No. 12 quarterback in the class according to the 247Sports rankings.

Huhn showcased his talents at the recent Elite 11 Regional in Atlanta, where he stood out. He has received offers from 17 different schools, including Florida State, Ohio State, Texas, UCLA, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, and Ole Miss.

During the spring, he took a trip to the Midwest, visiting Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Ohio State, and also visited Texas and Clemson.

According to 247Sports National Analyst Cooper Petagna, “Huhn made sure to turn in a performance worthy of the airline points. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Huhn appeared comfortable throughout the event, showing the ability to play with pace and accuracy and more athletic ability outside of the pocket than expected. A big-framed passer with a strong arm, it’s easy to see the collegiate intrigue around the California native.”

In his sophomore year, Huhn played 10 games, completing 133 of 223 passes for 1,623 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for three touchdowns.
