BYU football received a commitment from Cale Breslin on Friday. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back from Las Vegas, Nevada, declared his commitment to the Cougars. Breslin, rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports in the 2025 class, expressed his dedication on social media, saying, “Fully committed to @BYUfootball. Grateful to God, my parents, and all who have backed me on this journey.”

Breslin chose BYU over offers from Wisconsin, Indiana, Syracuse, San Diego State, Hawaii, FAU, and UConn.
BYU extended an official scholarship offer to Breslin during the spring evaluation period on April 18th.
Breslin attends Faith Lutheran High School, a Christian institution in Vegas. His high school coach, Mike Sanford Sr., is a recognizable name in Utah, having served as the offensive coordinator at Utah and as head coach at UNLV.
Sanford took over as the head coach at Faith Lutheran in 2020.
Breslin had an impressive junior year, rushing for 1,226 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns. The Las Vegas Review-Journal recognized his achievements by naming him a first-team offensive selection at running back. According to 247Sports, he enters his senior season ranked as the 10th-best prospect in the state of Nevada.
With Breslin’s commitment, BYU now has four commitments for the 2025 class. The other commits are tight end Blake Bryce from Newbury Park, California, linebacker Tyler Payne from Weber High, and kicker Will Walker from Riverton.
