Breaking news: Dodgers Top Prospect just Acquired by NL West Rival Already Traded Away

The San Francisco Giants traded Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and promising prospect Mitch White to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for cash, the team announced on Friday.

This is White’s second trade in the past 20 days. He had a mixed performance with the Toronto Blue Jays and Giants, recording a 1-0 record with a 7.63 ERA in seven relief appearances. Since joining the Giants from Toronto on April 20, he pitched in three games, giving up eight hits, five walks, and seven runs in 5.1 innings.

Originally from San Jose, White started his MLB journey with the Los Angeles Dodgers, making his debut in August 2020. During his time with the Dodgers, he had 14 starts and appeared in a total of 38 games, ending with a 3-5 record and a respectable 3.58 ERA across 105.2 innings.

However, his performance declined when he moved to Toronto, where he struggled with a 7.26 ERA over parts of three seasons. The Blue Jays designated him for assignment on April 16, and with no remaining options, he has been designated twice this year.

White was selected by the Dodgers as the 65th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 draft out of Santa Clara.
