JUST IN: Oregon State bolstered its tight end depth as brilliant man announced joining the Beavers

Oregon State strengthened its tight end roster on Monday with the addition of Andy Alfieri from California as a graduate transfer. Hailing from Jesuit High, Alfieri continues a family tradition at Oregon State, with his father Phil and mother Kelly having competed in football and track, respectively, for the Beavers, and his older brother Michael having been a running back for the team.

Alfieri, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 245 pounds, brings versatility, having played both fullback and tight end during his time at California. With two years of eligibility remaining, his arrival marks the second transfer acquisition for Oregon State this spring, following defensive end Josh Griffis from Tarleton State.

During his four-year tenure at California, Alfieri appeared in six games, including one game last season where he carried the ball twice for four yards. Notably, as a high school prospect at Jesuit, Alfieri received offers from Oregon State, Oregon, Utah, and California.
