Michigan has been highly successful in securing transfers from the portal this week. Firstly, they acquired Aamir Hill from Albany, then Wesley Walker from Tennessee, and later added another defensive player. Jaden Mangham, a former Michigan State safety, announced his commitment to Michigan.
Mangham, standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds, boasted impressive stats of 53 tackles and four interceptions in the previous season with the Spartans. Joining Michigan offers him the opportunity to be part of a team that previously defeated his former squad 49-0. In the upcoming 2024 season, Mangham will embark on his junior campaign.
The addition of Mangham and Walker significantly bolsters Michigan’s safety depth chart. This enhancement is crucial given recent setbacks, including Rod Moore’s ACL tear last month and Keon Sabb’s transfer to Alabama in February. Other safeties currently on Michigan’s roster include Makari Paige, Quinten Johnson, Zeke Berry, Brandyn Hillman, and Jacob Oden.
