Sydney’s Brodie Grundy faces charges for striking his opponent, Tim English, during Thursday’s match against the Western Bulldogs.
The incident occurred during the first quarter of Round 11, with Grundy’s actions categorized as intentional conduct, body contact, and low impact.
The Swans incurred a 50-meter penalty as a consequence. Grundy has been fined $2500, which he can opt to pay with an early guilty plea. However, if he contests the charge and is unsuccessful, the penalty increases to $3750. No other players were implicated from the Sydney vs. Western Bulldogs game.
