USC football remains on the hunt for a top-tier offensive tackle, extending an offer to Carde Smith, a four-star offensive lineman from Mobile, Alabama, last week.

Despite Smith’s commitment to the Auburn Tigers since April, USC is actively pursuing him. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 285 pounds, Smith is ranked as the No. 243 overall prospect and the No. 26 offensive tackle by 247Sports, while he holds the No. 259 overall spot and No. 27 for offensive tackles in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Notably, Smith marks the third Auburn commit that USC has targeted in 2025. Alongside Smith, USC also pursued Jourdin Crawford, a four-star defensive line commit for Auburn, and is actively recruiting Malik Autry, another four-star defensive lineman from Alabama. Interestingly, Auburn is also engaged in recruiting USC’s five-star quarterback commit, Julian Lewis.
