Zymicah Wilkins from Christ School in Arden, North Carolina, is kicking off his summer with a bang. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward is turning heads while playing for Team United on the EYBL circuit, showcasing his skills and making a strong impression. Shedding 15 pounds since the high school season has made him more agile and dynamic on the court, evident in his dominant performances down low and his ability to score from mid-range.
Wilkins himself acknowledges the positive changes in his game, emphasizing his improved shooting and overall fitness, which has caught the attention of college coaches. With nearly 20 scholarship offers, including recent ones from Georgia, Clemson, Villanova, and West Virginia, Wilkins’ recruitment is in full swing. While he plans to narrow down his options after Peach Jam, one school he’s eyeing closely is Louisville, despite not yet receiving an offer from them.
Louisville’s new assistant coach Ronnie Hamilton, who previously recruited Wilkins at LSU, is spearheading the efforts to bring him to the Cardinals’ program. Wilkins speaks highly of Coach Ronnie and expresses interest in visiting Louisville. Ranked as the 89th player nationally in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports Composite Ranking, Wilkins is attracting attention for his versatility and aggressiveness on the court, traits highlighted by analysts like Brandon Jenkins.
Coming off a junior season where he averaged 13.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and earned his team’s MVP honors, Wilkins is poised to continue making waves in the basketball world.
