Reportedly, Liverpool and Newcastle are in contention for the potential acquisition of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, as the forward expressed his desire to compete in top-tier competitions. Liverpool, offering Champions League football, could potentially see Mbeumo as a replacement for Mohamed Salah if he departs, providing proven Premier League quality on the right wing. There’s speculation that Liverpool might sweeten the deal by offering players in exchange.

Fabio Carvalho, who impressed on loan at Hull City with nine goals in 20 Championship appearances last season, is attracting Premier League interest. It’s uncertain if the 21-year-old Portuguese player fits into Arne Slot’s plans, given Liverpool’s depth in attack. Therefore, Carvalho could be offered to Brentford to compensate for the loss of Mbeumo.
