The Ohio State football team’s well-stocked quarterback roster is currently experiencing a dip in its depth. True freshman Air Noland, originally from Georgia, is currently absent from the team for personal reasons, as reported by Bucknuts, citing a source within the program. The duration of his absence remains uncertain, with indications suggesting he may be in Georgia for an extended period. Despite this setback, Noland enjoys full support from head coach Ryan Day and is anticipated to rejoin the team in due course.

While Noland’s absence may impede his progress, it doesn’t significantly impact the team’s quarterback situation, considering he was slated to occupy a lower position in the depth chart, likely fourth or fifth. Although his impressive performance in the Spring Game initially suggested he might surpass fellow freshman Justin Sayin, insiders reveal that Sayin demonstrated superior skills throughout the spring practices.

From a personal standpoint, it’s crucial for Noland to prioritize his well-being, and there will be no pressure from Coach Day for him to return until he feels prepared. Given the emphasis on mental health awareness by Day and his wife, it’s essential that Noland addresses any issues he may be facing.

While the current situation raises questions about Noland’s future with the Buckeyes, with the emergence of Sayin and the impending arrival of highly touted recruit Tavien St. Clair, along with Noland’s personal challenges, speculation mounts about a potential transfer.
