Brent Venables has already secured commitments from 15 players for his 2025 class, positioning it as one of the best in the country. Currently, the Sooners’ high school class is ranked fourth nationally and could gain even more strength if the official visits scheduled for June 14 and 15 go well.

According to 247Sports, Oklahoma has yet to land a five-star recruit for 2025, but two five-star offensive linemen, Ty Haywood and Michael Fasusi, will be in Norman on Friday. The offensive line was a major focus for Venables this offseason, with the addition of five linemen through the transfer portal and five more from high school.

Ty Haywood, Ryan, Offensive TackleMichael Fasusi returned to Texas and the 2025 4-star OT's interest continues to rise in the Longhorns - On3

The Sooners’ offensive line is rebuilding after losing both starting tackles, Tyler Guyton and Walter Rouse, to the NFL draft. Only two returning players, Jacob Sexton and Troy Everett, played over 200 snaps on the offensive line last season.

In 2023, quarterback Dillon Gabriel was pressured 107 times but maintained a relatively low 14% pressure-to-sack ratio thanks to his athleticism. Jackson Arnold, known more for his impressive arm talent than pocket presence, will need improved protection from the line.

Additionally, securing four-star receiver Cortez Mills should be a priority during the weekend visit, especially since three of the five defensive players scheduled to visit have already committed.
