On Tuesday, the SEC released the kickoff times for all 16 teams for the 2024 season, including Oklahoma’s football schedule.

The kickoff times and broadcast details for the first three games of the 2024 season, as well as the Oklahoma-Texas rivalry game on Oct. 12, had already been announced. Now, the complete schedule’s time windows and TV information are available.

Providing this information before the season starts is a benefit of the new conference rights agreement between the SEC and ESPN, which begins this fall. All SEC games will be aired exclusively on ABC and ESPN platforms.

The television start-time windows for weeks 4 through 14 are divided into four categories:

Early (11 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT start)
Afternoon (2:30 to 3:30 p.m. start)
Night (5 to 7 p.m. CT start)
Flex (either 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. start or 5 to 7 p.m. start)

Oklahoma’s remaining eight games (seven conference games and one nonconference game) include four flex games, two early games, and two afternoon games.

This is a significant change from previous seasons when the Sooners often played in the early time window. Last season, seven of Oklahoma’s 12 regular-season games were at 11 a.m.

This season, Oklahoma will have early games at home against South Carolina (Oct. 19) and at Ole Miss (Oct. 26). Afternoon games include home matchups against Tulane (Sept. 14) and a nonconference game against Maine (Nov. 2), along with away games at Auburn (Sept. 28) and the Texas game in Dallas (Oct. 12). The game against Maine coincides with the 100th Anniversary of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Oklahoma’s night games will be back-to-back home games early in the season against Temple (Friday, Aug. 30) and Houston (Sept. 7). Four games are designated as flex games, with the specific time to be decided closer to the date: home against Tennessee (Sept. 21), at Missouri (Nov. 9), home against Alabama (Nov. 23), and at LSU (Nov. 30).
