STARKVILLE — On Thursday, sources familiar with the matter reported that Jace Norton, a freshman infielder from Alabama, has joined the list of Mississippi State baseball players entering the transfer portal.
Norton, who redshirted during the previous season, marks the fifth Bulldog to make this move following the team’s conclusion with a loss to No. 12 Virginia in the Charlottesville Regional final.
Joining Norton are infielder Jackson McKenzie, along with pitchers Cole Cheatham, Logan Forsythe, and Max Miller, who all officially entered the portal on Thursday, seeking opportunities with new baseball programs.
Additionally, Head Coach Chris Lemonis has secured commitments from North Alabama infielder Gehrig Frei and Citadel infielder Sawyer Reeves via the transfer portal.
