North Melbourne midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke is under close scrutiny this week following recent scans on an injury concern that is reportedly affecting his performance. Coach Alastair Clarkson will need to make at least one change for Saturday’s game against Melbourne after Kallan Dawson’s one-game suspension for striking was upheld without appeal.
The absence of Dawson may prompt adjustments in Clarkson’s defensive lineup, potentially seeing Toby Pink returning to fill the gap. Co-captain Jy Simpkin, who missed the last game due to a hamstring issue, is also vying for selection pending fitness tests, alongside Davies-Uniacke, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury.
A bit of a watch on Luke Davies-Uniacke. Had an MRI scan during the week on an undisclosed injury complaint. The midfielder will hope to train tomorrow and prove his fitness for the game against Melbourne on Saturday night. @1116sen

According to reports, Davies-Uniacke’s fitness is uncertain ahead of the clash with Melbourne, and he will need to prove himself during training this week. His availability adds to the selection challenges for North Melbourne, who are also contemplating returns for Colby McKercher and Griffin Logue from injury.
McKercher, recovering from a foot injury, might rejoin the team, while the potential reshuffling in defense due to Dawson’s absence could see opportunities for fringe players like Bigoa Nyuon. Meanwhile, Zane Duursma’s impressive performance in the VFL, where he scored three goals among 25 disposals, puts him in contention for a senior call-up.
Other players like Dylan Stephens, Cooper Harvey, Charlie Lazzaro, and Miller Bergman are also being considered based on their recent VFL performances.
