Shelton Henderson of Bellaire, Texas, has surged up the rankings in 247Sports’ latest update for the Class of 2025, climbing an impressive 30 spots to now stand at No. 19 nationwide. The highly-rated four-star prospect is also in the midst of arranging official visits, with Louisville confirmed as one of his destinations.

According to Travis Branham, National Basketball Analyst at 247Sports, Henderson is scheduled to make his official visit to Louisville in August, specifically set for August 23rd, although this date could potentially change.

Reflecting on Louisville, Henderson emphasized the strong rapport he’s developed with head coach Pat Kelsey and assistant Ronnie Hamilton, noting their consistent efforts in recruiting him. Henderson, who received an offer from Louisville in late April, has distinguished himself on the EYBL circuit, a performance that Branham attributes to his significant rise in the rankings. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 220 pounds, Henderson has impressed scouts with his combination of size, athleticism, and evolving skill set.

As of now, Henderson holds the No. 19 national ranking and is recognized as the fourth-best small forward in the updated 247Sports rankings.
