Just In: Oregon Ducks Favorites to Land One of the Top QB Prospects in the 2026 Class

The Oregon Ducks have secured a spot in the Top 10 for one of the top QB prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. On June 19th, 4-star QB Jaden O’Neal announced his final list of ten schools, which includes the Ducks. O’Neal shared his list on social media.

In addition to Oregon, O’Neal’s list features Miami, Florida State, Arizona State, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Penn State, Colorado, and Washington.

The Ducks are targeting several elite quarterback prospects in the 2026 class and are expected to sign one or two from the high school ranks. O’Neal is scheduled to attend Oregon’s Saturday Night Live football camp in late July. The Ducks were his fifth known scholarship offer, extended back on June 14th, 2022. This makes him one of the first quarterback prospects to receive an offer from Oregon head coach Dan Lanning.

Greg Biggins provided an updated scouting report on O’Neal back in early April.

One of the best pure throwers in the ’26 class. Game has taken a nice jump over the last year and he has shined at multiple off-season events including Elite 11 Regional Camp and Under Armour Next Camp in March. Has always had a big arm and is probably the most accurate deep ball thrower out West right now, regardless of class. Has leaned out, dropped close to 10 pounds in the off-season and is moving a lot more easily in and out of the pocket. Mechanically, has a prototype throwing motion, clean release and the ball jumps out of his hand. Is accurate to all three levels of the field and throws well on the run. Want to see improve his escapability and ability to extend plays when he doesn’t have a clean pocket. High ceiling for sure with the raw talent to play for any Power 4 program.

As a sophomore at Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor, O’Neal recorded 2,475 passing yards and 27 touchdowns with a 61 percent completion rate over 11 games. He transferred to Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne in the off-season.

The 6-foot-3 prospect now plays at Narbonne in Southern California. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as the No. 6 quarterback nationally, the No. 14 player in California, and the No. 91 overall prospect regardless of position in the country.
