The Arizona Cardinals made a straightforward choice in the first round of April’s NFL Draft by selecting Ohio State’s All-American wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4 overall.

The franchise has been on the lookout for a star wide receiver since the departure of legends Larry Fitzgerald and All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins from the Valley of the Sun. It looks like they might have found that star in Harrison Jr.

Pro Bowl quarterback Kyler Murray recently shared his thoughts on the impact his new wide receiver will have on the Arizona offense.

“I think it takes us to another level… I fully expect our offense to be top of the league,” Murray told local media.

Last season was unusual in Phoenix, marking the first year of the Jonathan Gannon era with the Cardinals finishing 4-13.

Murray spent half the season recovering from a torn ACL, and the team started 1-8 but ended 4-13 after his return.

The addition of arguably the best wide receiver in the draft can certainly boost this offense.

Harrison, the Biletnikoff winner, is coming off back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons in Columbus.

The responsibility will fall on the duo of Murray and Harrison to lead this group.

Wide receivers Zay Jones, Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch are capable players, but they don’t match Harrison’s caliber.

Expectations for Arizona are low this year, especially in a division with the 49ers, Rams, and Seahawks.

This is precisely why they could surprise people after a strong finish to last season.
