Michigan State secured another commitment on Saturday evening following a successful official visit, with the decision made midway through the visit.
George Mullins, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback from Bushnell (FL) South Sumter High School, has become the 10th verbal commitment for Michigan State in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Mullins opted for Michigan State over offers from 20 other schools and is regarded as one of the top 75 cornerbacks in the country according to 247Sports.
Originally scheduled to visit Michigan State during the first weekend of summer official visits, Mullins and the coaching staff agreed to reschedule his visit to this past weekend. During the first weekend of summer visits, Mullins took an official visit to Oregon State, marking his only other official visit. In discussing his commitment to Michigan State with Spartan Tailgate, Mullins explained his decision-making process.
Regarding head coach Jonathan Smith, Mullins stated, “He’s a fantastic individual. I’ve consistently heard positive feedback about him, and I’m particularly fond of the coaching staff!!”
