In the 2024 NFL Draft, Green Bay did not prioritize the cornerback position in the early rounds, choosing cornerback Kalen King from Penn State in the seventh round. King is currently on the bubble for making the Packers’ 53-man roster this season.

It would be logical for the Packers to select a cornerback in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Ideally, they should have done this in 2024 instead of drafting offensive tackle Jordan Morgan from Arizona.

Sayre Bedinger of nflspinzone.com predicts that the Green Bay Packers will pick Washington Huskies cornerback Jabbar Muhammad with the 24th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. Bedinger noted

Jabbar Muhammad out to prove he's one of the country's best during one season at Oregon

Last season, Muhammad recorded 46 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, three interceptions, and 14 pass deflections with the Washington Huskies. He transferred to the Oregon Ducks during the offseason. Heading into the 2024 season, only Jaire Alexander is a guaranteed starting cornerback for the Packers.

Carrington Valentine and Eric Stokes will compete for the other starting spot. In the long run, if the Packers have the chance to draft Jabbar Muhammad in 2025, they should do it to secure another quality starting cornerback.
