Michigan State coaches recently completed official visits, yet they remained actively engaged in recruiting for the 2026 class amidst the busy official visit season. Despite hosting prospects from the 2025 recruiting class every weekend in June, they were also busy establishing contact with their top targets for the 2026 cycle. Starting June 15, unlimited communication with upcoming juniors became permissible, leading to an increase in interactions.
Since then, several 2026 prospects have indicated on social media that they have been in communication with Michigan State coaches. Additionally, there has been a significant surge in new offers extended to top players in the 2026 class.
In the past week and a half, Michigan State defensive line coach Legi Suiaunoa has offered scholarships to several standout defensive linemen in the 2026 class. One notable recipient of these offers is King Liggins, a three-star defensive lineman from Brother Rice High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
