Cochran’s collegiate journey has been diverse, starting at Northern Illinois before stints at Ball State and Toledo. Hailing from Bolingbrook, Illinois, he posted impressive stats in the 2023-24 season, averaging 14.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, two steals, and two assists per game.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Cochran has one year of eligibility remaining. He earned accolades such as MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and All-MAC Second Team honors, showcasing his prowess with 49.5 percent shooting from the field and leading the conference in steals. Despite a shortened junior season due to injury, he maintained strong performance levels.
Minnesota and Ohio State are reported as leading contenders for Cochran, who has also received interest from several other programs since reopening his recruitment. Ohio State’s recent need for additional guard depth due to injury could influence Cochran’s decision-making process.
