Kilmarnock are close to securing a permanent deal for Ipswich Town center-back Corrie Ndaba, according to reports from the EADT and Ipswich Star.
Ndaba, 24, joined Ipswich’s academy in 2016 and progressed to the first team in 2019. He has since been loaned out seven times, most recently to Salford City, Burton Albion, and Fleetwood Town. Last season, he played for Kilmarnock, helping them finish fourth in the Scottish Premiership and qualify for the Europa League.
According to the Daily Record, Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes has persuaded the club’s board to pursue a long-term deal for Ndaba. They aim to finalize the transfer swiftly to integrate him into the squad ahead of their Europa League qualifier against Cercle Brugge. Ndaba’s contract with Ipswich runs until 2025, so a transfer fee will be necessary for his departure this summer.
Despite being part of Ipswich Town since 2016, Ndaba has yet to make a league appearance for the club, only featuring in cup competitions like the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy.
