Nebraska is placing high hopes on their recent recruit, aiming for him to shine in the safety position—a rarity for someone standing at 6’6” and weighing 200 pounds, dimensions more typically suited for future roles as an outside linebacker or tight end.
Jeremiah Jones, hailing from Murray, Kentucky, is the player in question. He demonstrated versatility during his high school years, filling various roles across both offense and defense, suggesting a ‘jack of all trades’ proficiency.
The 2025 recruiting class appears set to be one of the smaller ones nationwide, with Nebraska exercising careful selection. Their interest in Jones is indicative of their strong preference for his talents; he stands as the 14th addition to the class, which is projected to finalize around 20 recruits or potentially fewer.
Currently rated as a three-star prospect, Jones has largely evaded widespread attention until his commitment to Nebraska. Prior to his decision, he had begun to attract interest from other notable schools like Florida State and Louisville.
