Gio Richardson, a dynamic wide receiver from Chandler, Arizona, has decided to stay close to home for college and join the Big 12 with Arizona. The three-star prospect made his commitment official, choosing the Wildcats over Arizona State and Kansas State. Richardson highlighted his strong relationship with Arizona’s coaches and players as pivotal in his decision.
Excited about the offensive opportunities at Arizona, Richardson looks forward to contributing as both an inside and outside receiver. He brings impressive stats from his junior year, including 55 receptions for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games. With a speedy 100m time of 10.82 seconds this spring, Richardson adds versatility and athleticism to Arizona’s recruiting class.
Under first-year head coach Brent Brennan, Arizona is shaping a competitive recruiting class, currently ranked in the top 50 nationally. They’ve secured commitments from other talented in-state prospects like three-star cornerback Dajon Hinton and three-star quarterback Luke Haugo.
