Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in Slovenian international Jaka Bijol following his standout performances at Euro 2024. The Udinese defender has attracted attention from several clubs after impressing with his national team in Germany. Should Forest pursue Bijol, they may face strong competition to secure his services.
According to reports from Sportitalia (via Football Italia), Forest have inquired about Bijol, but Inter Milan, Wolfsburg, and Stuttgart are also monitoring him closely. Previous links have connected Aston Villa, Bologna, Napoli, and Lazio to the 25-year-old.
Bijol, who joined Udinese from CSKA Moscow in 2022, has three years remaining on his contract. Udinese are believed to be seeking between €10m to €15m (£8m to £12.5m) for the centre-back.
Forest are keen to bolster their central defensive options before the summer transfer window closes, particularly with uncertainty surrounding Brazilian defender Murillo’s future at the club.
